About Me!

Hi, my name is Sunil Joshi. I am a retired Pharma & Biotech executive living in New Jersey.

In my retirement, I am now busy with a few things:
  • First, I am helping other people realize their dream of starting a biotech. I do this by collaborating with a few big institutions in the North East, namely Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Hospital, The Jefferson University and University of Pennsylvania. I work closely with the Tech transfer offices of these institutions to evaluate technologies and guide their scientists on discovery and development strategy.
  • Second, I am passionate about teaching, so I teach at Rutgers University - about, you guessed it, Pharma and Biotech industry. My goal is to educate the students of the Masters Degree program in Health Administration, the vast ocean of opportunities that exist in Pharma and Biotech industry for smart individuals.
  • Third, I have just taken up a few hobbies - one is wine making, and the other is learning Sarangi. Regarding wine making, I have been making wine for four or five years and am enjoying the process of learning something entirely new. I have also planted an acre of grapes and am learning it for myself, just how difficult agriculture can be!! And about Sarangi, I can only say that I coudn't have picked up a more difficult instrument to learn in my retirement!! But then isn't this what retirement is all about?
Oh, and how can I forget the most important thing I am doing these days - I am a Uber dad, schlepping my daughter and my nephew to railway station and back, almost every day of the week!! It is a task that I take seriously, and I am loving it because if it was not for this, I would not see either my daughter or my nephew ;-)
